Hi! Welcome to my blog where I document my adventures in basketball, My Boston Speaks Camps, my blogs and and my days in Boston :)

Lebron is a Bitch... Still.

Lebron is a Bitch... Still.

In October of 2012 I went to a meet and greet to see Rondo. Before going inside, my girlfriend and I sat in her car trying to decide if I should wear one of his 3 jerseys I brought with me, or my Sully's Brand "Lebron is a bitch t-shirt." I was only reluctant to rock the shirt because I knew there would be a lot of children at this event, but I also knew how much Rondo disliked Lebron. It was the ‘Miami Heat Lebron’ era so I definitely disliked him, especially as a Celtics fan. Against my initial doubts, I put the shirt on and confidently walked in, knowing that he’d appreciate it. While I was waiting in line, the line of people leaving after meeting him crossed the line of people waiting to meet him. So on the way out, everyone was complaining about how curt and standoffish he was. Being a Cs fan, everyone knew about Rajon, but I still adored him regardless. I mean, come on... y’all remember prime Rondo? He was Mr. Triple double before that MVP in OKC ever was.

I was getting close to the front of the line, Rondo saw me, pointed and I almost cried. Needless to say, I wore the right shirt. On the way up to meet him, I asked if I could take a picture with him and someone with him directing the crowd and running the event said, “he’s not taking pictures tonight”, then immediately thereafter Rondo said, “I’ll take one with her”.

I. Died.

He told me specifically, “make sure you hold out the t-shirt so people can read the words”, and he pointed at it and the rest was history.

It’s been a long time since that picture was taken and went viral but the main point still remains; Lebron is a bitch. Yes, he’s the best player in the world. Yes, he’s one of the greatest athletes we’ve ever seen, but that doesn’t negate his bitchiness. His flops. His crying. His character. “The Decision”. His ego, (which I’ll be honest, has toned down a bit after his Miami days). I cannot stand it.

Last night only further reiterated my opinion, when I saw him get subjugated by the Raptors (enjoyed every min to be honest) and on the bench he was buggin' at the coaching staff and his teammates. I know he’s the best player in the world, but in my eyes, it seems that he’s hard to get along with. Why you think Kyrie dipped? Yes, they have defensive issues but teamwork, chemistry & camaraderie are the foundation of any team. It’s not all “work around me, since I’m the best”. It’s about respect. You know damn well that no one genuinely respects Mr. Doormat Lue, especially since Lebron is seemingly the coach.  Why do you think the Celtics are killing it right now? Our respectable coaching staff and our team chemistry is insurmountable and unprecedented. It’s cohesive and regardless of having an NBA champion in Kyrie on our team, an unbelievable rookie in Tatum, Al "the Goat" Horford and still an all star offensive threat in Hayward, everyone individualistically pulls their own weight and brings their own something- something to this TEAM.

Team work makes the dream work baby, and with Lebrons Cavs currently imploding (I don't care if it's only January), I don’t think banner 18 is an unreachable “dream” anymore.
